Друзья, всем привет! Сегодня я расскажу еще об одном продукте-афродизиаке, который помимо прочего уже много веков считается уникальным лечебным средством, — фенхеле. Это травянистое растение принадлежит к семейству сельдерейных. На своей родине, в Италии, он в первую очередь ценится за свои полезные свойства и лишь во вторую — за вкусовые. Не зря существует старинная английская поговорка: «Кто видит фенхель и не собирает его, тот не человек, а дьявол».
Фенхель богат витамином С, клетчаткой, калием, железом, медью и витаминами группы B, а также известен своими противовоспалительными и антиоксидантными свойствами. Кроме того, его волокна помогают организму избавиться от токсинов и снизить уровень «плохого» холестерина в крови. Я очень ценю лечебные свойства этого продукта и при первых симптомах расстройства пищеварения сразу же готовлю себе суп из фенхеля или завариваю его семена.
Листья и семена фенхеля помогают бороться с бактериями, а также имеют седативное действие. Благодаря своему освежающему запаху фенхель приобрел славу средства, повышающего либидо, а в Древней Греции его считали еще и символом успеха. В период средневековья фенхель считался чудодейственной травой и служил мистическим талисманом — его использовали в качестве защиты от зла. Считалось, что фенхель обладает таинственными оживляющими свойствами, а его частое употребление даже способствует галлюцинациям.
Помимо лечебных свойств фенхель обладает отменными вкусовыми качествами. Он часто используется в кулинарии, а также в качестве добавки к чаю. Предлагаю читателям HELLO.RU мой фирменный рецепт летнего супа с фенхелем, сладким перцем и тыквенными семечками.
Суп с фенхелем «Основной инстинкт»
Ингредиенты:
3 средние луковицы фенхеля
1 ст.л. сливочного масла
1 ст.л. оливкового масла
3 луковицы-шалот
4 чашки (0.5 л) куриного бульона
1 сладкий красный болгарский перец
1 большая картофелина
2 ст.л. свежей петрушки
1 ч.л. приправы «Итальянские травы»
1 ч.л. тыквенных семечек
Соль и перец — по вкусу
Способ приготовления:
1. Порежьте фенхель на кусочки среднего размера. В кастрюле смешайте сливочное масло с оливковым и поставьте на слабый огонь. Добавьте фенхель, измельченный лук-шалот и одну чашку бульона. Накройте крышкой и тушите примерно 15 минут, до мягкости фенхеля.
2. Прибавьте огонь, добавьте в кастрюлю картофель, красный перец и оставшийся бульон. Доведите до кипения. Готовьте еще 10-15 минут, пока не приготовится картофель. Приправьте суп специями, солью и перцем. Подавайте теплым, украсив петрушкой и семечками.
